‘Aaram karne do usko Benstokes’ – Fans react as Rishabh Pant set to make his first appearance in stadium after car accident

The star batter has missed out on the ongoing Indian T20 League due to injuries and will be missed by his franchise too.

Star India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant is going to make his first public appearance after suffering a major car accident last December. In the first home game against Gujarat on Tuesday, Pant will be in the stands to cheer his team. The star batter has missed out on the ongoing Indian T20 League due to injuries and will be missed by his franchise too.

Informing the same, Press Trust of India reported that DDCA confirms Pant’s presence on the ground as he will be cheering for Delhi against defending champions Gujarat on April 4. PTI Tweeted, “DDCA Joint Secretary Rajan Manchanda confirms that Rishabh Pant will be at the Arun Jaitley Stadium to support his team Delhi Capitals tomorrow. Pant will be in a stadium for the first time after his accident last year.”

In a video shared by the news agency, DDCA joint secretary Rajan Manchanda confirms that the 25-year-old batter will mark his presence on the ground. Manchanda said, “Good news for Delhi spectators. Tomorrow, he is coming. We received a message from the franchise, two hours back that he is coming. DDCA is hoping tomorrow he will come and support his team. Good news for Delhi, GMR is confirming to us that Rishabh Pant is coming tomorrow.”

“Eagerly waiting for him”- says Manchanda 

Manchanda further says that DDCA is eagerly waiting to host Rishabh Pant. He further stated, “DDCA is eagerly waiting for him on the ground. Whatever DDCA will be able to do for him, we will be ready for that. I think that is big news in the Indian circle also. Despite the injury, he is coming.”

Notably, Pant suffered a car accident when he was driving to his native town in Roorkee on the eve of new year’s. He struck his car on dividers and suffered severe injuries. Meanwhile, fans react to the news of him coming back to Delhi. A Twitter user said, “Mai to isko hi dekhne jayega.”
