West Indies and India will lock horns in the last game of the ODI series at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad on July 27. The game wouldn’t impact the result of the series as the visitors have taken an unassailable lead of 2-0. However, the home team can avoid the whitewash that they suffered in Pakistan and against Bangladesh at home.
On the other hand, the Men In Blue will be looking to register their first-ever clean sweep against the Marron Brigade. Since the start of ODI cricket, India hasn’t clean swept any West Indies side. The second-string team is set to create history and would like to leave no stone unturned.
Team News
West Indies: The Nicholas Pooran-led team has done well in patches and hasn’t been able to close the games in the match-winning positions. In both games they played, they might have easily won the series if not for choking in the moments when it mattered the most. Their batting has done fairly well compared to the last two series but they need to improve on their bowling.
The bowling department has conceded 300 runs in both games. The team has missed the services of Jason Holder, who is down due to COVID 19 and won’t be playing the last ODI. Talking about the playing, it is pretty much expected to remain the same.
Probable XI: Shai Hope (wk), Kyle Mayers, Shamarh Brooks, Brandon King, Nicholas Pooran (c), Rovman Powell, Romario Shepherd, Akeal Hosein, Hayden Walsh, Alzarri Joseph, Jayden Seales.
India: Shikhar Dhawan’s men have found a way of winning the games from difficult positions in the series. In the first game, Mohammed Siraj, Sanju Samson, skipper himself were the heroes. In the next game, Samson, Iyer, Axar Patel, and Deepak Hooda were the ones who won the game.
Talking about the playing XI, the only change which can be predicted is either Prasidh Krishna or Avesh Khan. The latter got beaten badly in his debut ODI game. Apart from that, the team would be the same.
Probable XI: Shikhar Dhawan (c), Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson (wk), Deepak Hooda, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, Avesh Khan/Prasidh Krishna
Pitch Report:
Two games have been played on the surface and the upcoming will be the last one in the series. Also, there is a forecast of rain around 12 PM according to the Trinidad time. This could mean that the teams might choose to bowl first.

Hey! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering
which blog platform are you using for this website? I’m getting
fed up of WordPress because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m
looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be great if you could point
me in the direction of a good platform.
