The weekend was spent at the pre-release event for Shakti Pratap Singh Hada’s ‘Operation Valentine’, which starred Varun Tej and Manushi Chhillar in key roles. Varun’s uncle Chiranjeevi and father Nagababu were present at the function. With one exception, the Vishwambhara actor was all praise for his nephew. Joking that everyone has been enjoying ‘Chiru leaks’ for years, anchor Suma brought up his propensity to divulge details about movie plots, titles, and other details.
When she questioned him about why he had never told the public about his nephew’s love tale, Chiranjeevi said, “Varun tells me everything, but he hid this from me. Not even a hint from him. He claims to be inspired by me all the time, but I wish he was more inspired to tell me that he is seeing Lavanya. He often shares with me things that he keeps from his father. That’s why I’m still upset with him.”
Chiranjeevi expresses his displeasure:
Varun answered, “He’s still the first person I told, Chiranjeevi. I couldn’t before because I was afraid and respected.” At the function, Chiranjeevi disclosed that although Varun pursued an acting career in his uncle’s footsteps, he never selected the same kinds of roles.
Chiranjeevi revealed, “Due to the environment he has seen at home since he was a young child, Varun has only ever considered acting as a career. I think highly of the film industry. Even though he followed in my footsteps, I respect the roles he chooses. He has been trying such diverse subjects every time, he sets himself apart. ‘Operation Valentine’, in my opinion, is the first Telugu movie on the subject.”
Sony Pictures International Production has supported Operation Valentine after helming Adivi Sesh’s Major. According to a statement released by the makers, “The film revolves around the indomitable spirits of our Air Force heroes on the frontlines and the challenges they face protecting the nation.”
‘Operation Valentine’, which was written by Shakti, Aamir Khan, and Siddharth Raj Kumar, will premiere on March 1 of the following year. It will be Manushi’s first time down south and Varun’s first in the north.
