The Emirates D20 League 2022 is moving towards its culmination with only four days left in the tournament. Teams are scrambling for a place in the semi-final.
The 24th of June brought three games in the tournament. Let’s look at the match report for the matches 24, 25 and 26 in Emirates D20 League.
Match 24: Dubai vs Ajman
The bottom team clashed with Ajman for a chance to get the third win and move towards the top. After winning the toss, the Ajman team elected to bat. They also got a very good start from both batters Essam Muti ur Rab (22 of 24) and Yasir Kaleem (32 of 21).
The next two batters however could not contribute to the innings. Shahnawaz Khan was their best batter with 35 off of 28 deliveries. With the help of tail-ender, Mohammad Azhar’s 15 off of 7 deliveries, the Ajman team were able to make 138/9. Dubai’s captain Ronak Panoly was their best bowler and took three wickets.
Coming on to chase, Dubai were able to achieve the target in 18.5 overs on the back of a half-century from captain Ranoly (50 off 20) and a 48 off 45 from Muhammad Farooq.

Match 25: Abu Dhabi vs Sharjah
The second-placed team Sharjah met Abu Dhabi in the second match on 24th June. Losing the toss and batting first turned out to be a good outcome as the Sharjah team were able to make 194 runs at the loss of just two wickets. A great knock of 75 from 58 balls by Abdul Shakoor and a half-century from captain Fayyaz Ahmad (51 of 33) propelled the Sharjah team to a huge total.
The Abu Dhabi team could not reach anywhere near it and lost the match by a monstrous 66 runs. Captain Ali Abid with 31 off of 30 balls was their highest scorer.

Match 26: Fujairah vs Emirates Blues
The table-toppers Fujairah clashed with Emirates Blues in the last game of 24th June where the Fujairah team gave a thumping defeat to the Emirates Blues. After choosing to bat first, the Fujairah team was able to make 127/9 in 20 overs. Asif Khan with 33(32) and Umair Ali with 28(15) were the top scorers for the team. Coming on to chase the Emirates Blues got a good start from their openers but could not capitalise on it. They were reduced to 95/9 in 20 overs.
