The 1st Test of the India vs England series is currently in the balance thanks to the innings of Ollie Pope. The Indian bowlers are currently struggling to make breakthroughs with the tailenders also coming into the game with the bat. But I am not shy calling Jasprit Bumrah a modern-day great, without a doubt”. He also went on to mention that the 30-year-old fast bowler is one of the most trusted bowlers, who can give his team a breakthrough every time he comes in to bowl.
These praises are justified as Bumrah has proven himself as one of the world’s best pacers in the Indian team in all three formats of the game. Bumrah is currently one of the top 10 highest wicket-takers for India right now with over 350 international wickets. His consistent performances have made him one of the biggest superstars of Indian cricket and he still has a lot of cricket in him. The performance in this Test match says it all where he has not only stopped the flow of runs but also made vital breakthroughs against this powerful England batting lineup.
