South Africa and Durban Super Giants batter Heinrich Klassen has hit the longest six of the ongoing SA20 2024. In the game, the home team, Durban won the toss and elected to bat first. They had a poor start as they lost the wicket of Quinton de Kock early. Matthew Breetzke scored a brisk 35 but failed to convert it into a big score.
JJ Smuts failed again with the bat and Marcus Stoinis didn’t have a great start to his SA20 career either. Klassen (31) played a cameo and laid a platform to get a fighting total before getting out at the team score of 90 runs. During this inning, the South Africa wicketkeeper hit the longest six of the tournament so far.

After Klassen’s wicket, the likes of South Africa all-rounder Wiaan Mulder (52) and former Proteas international Dwaine Pretorius (23) helped the team reach 159/7. In reply, the Orange Army had a poor start as they lost three wickets for 41 runs. At the time of writing, the defending champions are at 97/4 as they have lost the wicket of their skipper Aiden Markram at the time of writing.

The right-hander has been the third-highest run-getter in the ongoing second season of the SA20. Ryan Rickelton, the MI Cape Town player has been the highest run-getter 337 runs in four games. He missed out on his maiden hundred against Durban Super Giants and Joburg Super Kings. Rassie van der Dussen, another South Africa international and MICT opener with Rickelton,. has 210 runs to his name including a hundred. On the other hand, Klassen has 194 runs in five games so far
