His stint with the Sunrisers Hyderabad proved to be a disappointing one since he could not make a significant mark on the tournament. He was most of the time in and out of the playing XI. On Tuesday, the first round of bidding saw Indian batter Karun Nair go unsold. Nair was not sold despite having a base price of Rs 50 lakh. Nair played for the Rajasthan-based team in the 2023 season. The 32-year-old played in 76 Indian Premier League games and amassed 1496 runs during the opulent Twenty20 competition. This one was shocking to say the least since he is an Indian batter and that commodity is very less in the league.

Despite his base price of INR 1.50 Crore, the aggressive English wicketkeeper-batsman, disappointingly failed to find a buyer. He scored 218 runs in nine games, making for a respectable effort. He was among a number of players released by the Delhi-based team last month, which ended ninth in the standings. Many foreign wicket keepers were able to secure contracts in the auction. But Salt, who has amassed 601 runs in 19 T20I innings, was unsuccessful in landing a deal.
