The teaser shows actor-director Rishab Shetty in a never-before-seen avatar and allows viewers to enter the Director’s visionary world created for himself. The ‘Kantara 2’ video teaser depicts the legend’s origin story, which took place during the reign of the Kadamba Dynasty, an ancient royal family of Karnataka. The shots centre on a man wearing a Rudraksha (a sacred bead) necklace and wielding a Trishul (a three-pronged spear). The narrator claims to have a vision of the past, present, and future and asks the audience if they can see it as well. The story revolves around a conflict between humans and nature, with Shiva serving as the rebel who works against nature. The film is set and shot in Keradi, Karnataka’s coastal town, and features the cultures of Kambla and Bhootha Kola.
