Asia Cup 2023: Schedule and Fixtures; all you need to know

The 16th edition of Asia Cup will begin on August 30 and end on September 17. Sri Lanka and Pakistan will co-host it. The Asian cricket competition dates back to 1984 in the form of one-day internationals (ODIs). The current edition will be played in one-day international (ODI) format.

There will be a total of six teams competing. The teams are split into two groups. All of the teams are preparing for the continental event. The opening match will be played on August 30 at the Multan Cricket Stadium between Pakistan and Nepal.

Matches Format

Team India is the most successful as they have won the Asia Cup seven times. With two groups of three teams playing against each other in a round-robin style. The top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the Super Four stage and play a round-robin series again. A total of 13 matches will be played in the tournament with four games being held in Pakistan, while the remaining nine matches will be played in Sri Lanka.

The matches will be played in four venues in Multan and Lahore in Pakistan and Kandy and Colombo in Sri Lanka. The group stage of the tournament will be played from August 30 to September 5. Three of these games will be played in Pakistan and the rest in Sri Lanka.

The Super Four stage will be played from September 6 to September 15, with five matches scheduled to be played in Sri Lanka and one in Pakistan. The final match will be held on September 17 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
