2011 World Cup winner Ashish Nehra turned 44 years on April 29. After retiring from international cricket in 2017, he took up the job of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s bowling coach in 2019. After a three-year hiatus from a coaching job in IPL, he was appointed as the head coach of Gujarat Titans last year which ended up winning the title. In the ongoing season, Nehra continues to coach the side.
Meanwhile, during the ongoing game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans in Kolkata, Nehra can be seen knee-butting the unmentionables of Murali Karthik. The latter is also a former India player who has played in the league and has been commentating in the tournament over the years. Meanwhile, after the knee-butt, the former left-arm spinner, Karthik fell down badly.

Ashish Nehra’s former teammates wish him on the big day
Meanwhile, early in the day, the former left-arm pacer was wished by Yuvraj Singh. The latter posted a video from the Breakfast With Champions, hosted by renowned cricket anchor, Gaurav Kapoor.
Yuvraj wrote, “Wishing our one & only Nehra ji a very Happy Birthday. Hilte, jhulte, naachte, gaate zindagi ki khushiyan manate raho. Hope it’s trophy no. 2 for GT this year. Lots of love my brother! See you soon.”
