Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni is reportedly playing the last season of his IPL 2023. Ahead of the season, one of the CSK officials reportedly said that he might retire from the league.
“We believe it will be his last as he wants to say goodbye at his favourite stadium. In any case, we should have clarity by the start of IPL,” a CSK official told InsideSport.
“MS hasn’t informed us about his decision. And of course, there is no pressure on him to take a call anytime soon. He is our leader and he will only do what’s best for the team. As far as the management is concerned, MS has full backing on whether he wants to continue beyond this season,” the CSK official said.

Meanwhile, the four-time winners have registered the hat trick of wins in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Batting first, the 2016 winners, SRH only managed 134/7 after being at 71/1. In reply, the home team chased down the target, winning the game by seven wickets.
Meanwhile, after the game, Dhoni hinted about his retirement after the ongoing season. Apparently, this is not the first time he has hinted at the same a few seasons ago. The right-hander had expressed his desire to play in front of the Chennai crowd before hanging his boots.
