In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Virat Kohli has been performing magnificently. He is one of the league’s top run scorers and has already scored three half-centuries. The performance is an extension of Kohli’s recent success with the Indian side. Since scoring his first T20I century at the 2022 Asia Cup, Kohli has been incredibly consistent. Meanwhile, recently, Kohli was featured in an exclusive interview with Jio Cinema.
He joined former India cricketer Robin Uthappa for the interview and revealed various hidden aspects of his life. In the interview, he was also asked to name the most underrated player in IPL history. The 35-year-old batter named wicketkeeper-batter Ambati Rayudu the most underrated player in IPL history. He said, “Ambati Rayudu is the most underrated player in the IPL of All Time”.
Notably, Rayudu made his international comeback after an amazing performance in domestic cricket in 2018. He was set to make it into India’s World Cup squad in 2019 but a dip in form cost him his place. Since then he never made a comeback and announced his retirement from international cricket. It’s worth noting that all-rounder Vijay Shankar was roped into the squad ahead of Rayudu and Kohli was criticized for that as he was the captain of the team at that time.

Virat Kohli has been phenomenal for the Indian team since hammering his first T20I century in Asia Cup last year. He has been consistent with the bat and has scored more than 1500 runs including five centuries across the format. However, he endured poor form before that and even took a break ahead of the tournament.
Speaking about the same, Kohli revealed how his wife Anushka Sharma helped him to get out of that bad phase.
He said, “When you go back from a space like this. It’s easy immediately to go like ‘Ah, everything is so good and it’s okay’. That’s why I say Anushka’s name first because she has seen the challenges of being in this position. She knows it.”
“She has been there for so many years. She knows what it takes to handle public pressure. So, her conversations with me have always been priceless. She tells me the truth, simple”, he further added. Notably, Virat Kohli and RCB are set to face Punjab Kings in their next match at the Mohali Cricket Stadium.
