In the third Test match at Sydney Cricket Ground, the Australian team is currently daunting the South African team. With the bat, they scored 475 runs in the first innings, thanks in large part to outstanding efforts from Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith. They are currently in control with the ball, Pat Cummins leading the way.
Although he has already taken three wickets in the contest, Khaya Zondo was the best wicket he had, coming in the 49th over. The Australian captain set him up beautifully, which put him on the back foot. He set the field for a short delivery by bowling several bouncers. However, he bluffed the batter on the 4th delivery by bowling a toe-crushing yorker.
The batter was caught off-guard and the ball hit him on the pads plum in front of the stumps for an LBW. This was Cummins’ second wicket of the game. A video of the same has been doing rounds on the internet.

As for the rest of the game, Australia was on fire with the bat in the first innings. They reached a staggering total of 475/4 thanks to Usman Khawaja’s unbeaten innings of 195 runs in 368 deliveries, which included 19 boundaries and a six. Steve Smith also was at his best as he scored 104 in 192 balls. Marnus Labuschagne (79) and Travis Head (70) also scored half0-centuries each.
Australia declared the innings after day three was washed out due to rain in an effort to contain South Africa. This move did wonders for them as wickets kept coming their way. At stumps on day four, the Proteas have scored 149 runs and have lost six wickets. They currently trail Australia’s score by 326 runs.
The Australian bowlers will look to get early wickets on the final day to try and impose the follow-on. The home side will have to put their best foot forward to get close to a result in this match. They will look for a 3-0 whitewash in the series.
