Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, was shot during a march rally on November 3, Sunday, leaving millions of his followers and cricket fans saddened, who hoped for the speedy recovery of the legendary cricketer.
The incident took place when the 70-year-old was conducting a protest march demanding to conduct a snap election after he was removed from the post of the Prime Minister of the country. As things stand, one of his aids cleared the air saying that the former Pakistani cricketer was not in danger. Further reports claimed that it was a suspected attempt on his life and it remains to see if the actual details on the graveness of the injury would be revealed at the earliest.
Not so long ago, the Election Commission of the country disqualified him from holding public office after he was found revealing crucial details on his gift which included expensive watches and other precious items.

Imran’s shining cricketing career for Pakistan
Although many have criticised his political career, Imran’s cricketing career shines bright as it was under his leadership, Pakistan won the 1992 50-over World Cup. In addition to it, the former cricketer went on to attain legendary status on the back of his stellar performances for the country on the field.
For the unversed, the allrounder gathered 3,807 runs in the 88 Test matches that he played at an average of 37.69 and also went on to take 362 wickets in the format. The Pakistani superstar also racked up 6 centuries throughout his career in the longest format of the game.
Concerning ODIs, in 175 matches, Imran scored 3709 runs at an average of 33.41 with 1 century and 19 half-centuries in the format. Imran also boasted 182 wickets under his belt in the ODIs and remained passionate towards the game, even after entering public life. After holding public office as the Prime Minister of Pakistan for over 1300 days, Imran was ousted from the honourable position after continued opposition on April 11 2022 and it has been a roller-coaster ride for him in his political career since then.
