#1 Most Test match appearances
Sachin Tendulkar made his debut for India back in 1989 and retired in 2013 at his home ground, Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Throughout his career, he donned the white flannels on 200 occasions. In his international career, he is the only player to have reached the double-century mark in terms of appearances in the longest format. England’s James Anderson is the next best, having played 179 Tests in his career. It remains to be seen whether he can break the record set by the Indian great.
