‘You have to declare whatever you put in’ – UFC lightweight contender Ben Dariush claims Conor McGregor is cheating to avoid USADA

UFC star fighter Conor McGregor is likely to make his comeback into the octagon this year as he has already returned to The Ultimate Fighting show as a coach and will reportedly fight his rival coach Michael Chandler at the end of the season. However, it will be interesting to see McGregor against Chandler as ‘The Notorious’ is out of action for a long time.

McGregor was last in action inside the octagon in a trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier, where he lost the fight as he broke his leg due to which the fight was stopped and Poirier was named the winner. Meanwhile, UFC Lightweight contender recently claimed that the former double champ is cheating to avoid the USADA Test.

“I think Conor is cheating, in reality, if you want to fix your knee or you want to fix your leg and get certain growth hormones or whatever he’s doing, you can get a therapeutic exemption. You can speak to USADA and get a therapeutic exemption – but you can’t add extra stuff. Whatever you are putting in, you have to declare with them and get it figured out.” Dariush was quoted as saying by MMA Mania.

Dariush is all set to face Charles Oliviera in the main event of UFC 288. This fight will be very important for both fighters as the winner will secure the lightweight title shot against Islam Makhachev who became the champion after beating Oliviera in February this year. However, Dariush continued and said that McGregor is not getting tested because of his leg.

“This is B.S., to be honest with you,” Dariush continued. “The fact that they say, ‘Oh, while he’s doing this, he’s not getting tested right now because of his leg.’ No – you can still get tested. You just have to declare and say, ‘Hey, this was a therapeutic exemption.’ But that’s not the case (with McGregor). He even put down ‘retirement’ (on forms), so he went into retirement, I guess. USADA recently said when you come out of retirement, you need six months and two clean tests. So this is garbage. But that’s the game.”
