Shakib Al Hasan hit the headlines for commenting on the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and saying that he would not take much time to set things right if given the position of CEO. To add more, the southpaw claimed a couple of days ago that he had seen the movie ‘Nayak’ and cited it as an example to clean the domestic setup in the country.
However, on the other hand, there is a dark side to the allrounder and it was not a long time ago when his video of dismantling the stumps while arguing with an umpire went viral. The veteran Bangladeshi batter hit the headlines again during the BPL game against Sylhet Strikers on January 7, Saturday, the batter was seen having a heated argument with the leg umpire for deeming a high-bouncing ball, a legal one.

Sylhet Strikers dominate clash against Fortune Barishal
As far as the match is concerned, it was the Strikers who won the game chasing down a total of 195 on the back of stupendous innings from Towhid Hridoy and Zakir Hasan. To add more, while Hridoy scored a 34-ball 55, Hasan, on the other hand, scored an 18-ball 43 and helped the team chase down the total.
It was heartbreak for Shakib’s Barishal as they put on a massive total on board on the back of the southpaw’s 67, in vain as they lost the match due to their poor outing with the ball while defending the target. The skipper of the Strikers, Mashrafe Mortaza, opened up on the win and said that they would hope to carry on with the form.

But the way Shakib batted. Need to find the way to go in rest of the matches. Mushy told everyone to go for it. After 10 overs we had a chat that we have to go from now every single ball. Happy as a team but not relaxing,” said Mortaza after the win.
