Rinku Singh’s knock was much needed as he took his side to a good total during SMAT quarterfinals 2023.
During the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 quarterfinals, Rinku Singh contributed to Uttar Pradesh’s 169/3 score with yet another outstanding knock on Thursday. Rinku Singh struck at a strike rate of 233.33, smashing 33 runs without a loss off 77 balls.
The 26-year-old southpaw’s knock featured four hundreds and six sixes, and he and Sameer Rizvi (42* off 29) built an undefeated 116-run stand from 55 balls over the fourth wicket.
After 18 overs, Rinku Singh had scored on 38 from 21, but Siddarth Kaul raised the stakes in the 19th over. He took two doubles as well as a single after hitting two maximums off the first two balls. The Punjab bowler and India star Arshdeep Singh was then struck for three sixes by the Uttar Pradesh (UP) batsman in the last over.
