‘Ye toh bohot galat hua Madrid ke saath’ – Fans react as brawl breaks out after Real Madrid’s last-minute winner against Valencia gets ruled out

Due to a questionable officiating decision against Jude Bellingham, Real Madrid’s La Liga game versus Valencia ended in a 2-2 tie, shocking the crowd. The whistle for full time was blown, and the Los Blancos playmaker was eventually shown the red card.

When Bellingham strongly objected to the referee’s judgement to sound the full-time whistle whilst the ball was still in the air, he was given the order to march. The 20-year-old found himself in the ideal position to give Madrid a late-game victory with his header. However, the referee had recently whistled for full time, therefore the goal had not been awarded.

The surprising ruling prompted Real Madrid players as well as coaches to approach referee Gil Manzano. Bellingham received a red card amid the chaos as they vented their frustration at the decision. Real Madrid is still leading La Liga by seven points in spite of the draw. Fans, however, reacted negatively to what happened towards the conclusion of the contest on social media.

This draw will give teams like Barcelona and Girona the opportunity to catch up to Real Madrid, which might significantly affect the battle for the La Liga championship.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti comments on draw against Valencia

Real Madrid came back to draw Valencia 2-2 in the Mestalla after trailing by two goals. Nevertheless, Bellingham’s header during injury time was overturned.

Bellingham, who was incensed with the outcome, received an immediate red card over his complaints. Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Los Blancos, asserted that the midfield player did not offend the referee. The Italian mastermind said, “Bellingham told him ‘it’s a f*cking goal’, he didn’t insult him. We will see what the referee writes in the act.”

He was questioned on the referee’s choice to sound the full-time siren when the ball was positioned so far within Valencia’s last third. He added, “What to say, there is not much to say. Something unprecedented has happened. The players are angry, but we all have to calm down.”
