They continued to struggle on day four, losing three early wickets. Mehidy Hasan Miraz, the Bangladeshi all-rounder created problems for India with his five-wicket haul. Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Axar Patel, and Rishabh Pant were all dismissed by him. India was reduced to 74/7.

However, all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin and previous innings’ star Shreyas Iyer ensured that they guided their team over the line. The former scored an unbeaten knock of 42 runs in 62 balls, while the latter supported him well with his innings of 29 runs in 46 balls.

Earlier in the game, Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin took four wickets each to restrict Bangladesh to a score of 227 in the first innings.
