In the meantime, the 35-year-old will be looking to get good results in the cash-rich league this time. The Mumbai team had a terrible season the last time around. They were at the bottom of the points table with just four wins in the 14 league games that they played.

The most successful team in the tournament will be without their premier fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah. He recently got surgery in New Zealand and is set to miss out on playing cricket for a few months. Bumrah has not played any competitive game in the past six months.

On the other hand, Jofra Archer, who missed out on the last season, will be returning to the team in the 2023 season. He is expected to take charge of the bowling unit for Mumbai this time around.
