Bangalore locked horns with Gujarat  in the 44th match of IPL 2016. After being put into bat,Bangalore did not have a great start and lost Chris Gayle in the fourth over of the innings with just 19 runs on the board. Gujarat bowlers had their tails up and Bangalore badly needed a partnership.

4. 100 runs off 58 balls vs Kolkata , ITL 2019

Bangalore faced Kolkata  in the 35th match of the 2019 season of the lucrative T20 tournament.  Kolkata  won the toss and put Bangalore into bat. Kohli & co. did not have the best of starts and were 60 for 2 in nine overs. Kolkata were looking strong to restrict Bangalore to an under-par score but Kohli and Moeen Ali had some other plans.

3. 113 runs off 50 balls vs Punjab, ITL 2016

Bangalore took the stage alongside Punjab for the 50th match of ITL 2016. Due to a heavy downpour, the match became a 15-overs contest. Punjab won the toss and put Bangalore into bat. Kohli entered the contest with nine stitches on his left hand because of a split webbing.

India took on Australia in the 31st match of the 2016 20-20 World Cup in Mohali. It was a virtual knock-out game with the winner advancing to the semis. Steve Smith & co. batted first and posted a competitive total of 160 runs on the board with Aaron Finch (43 runs off 34 balls) top-scoring for them.

India encountered Pakistan in their opening match of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 at the Melbourne Cricket Stadium. The Men in Green, after being put to bat posted a fighting total of 159 runs on the board with Shan Masood (52 runs off 42 balls) and Iftikhar Ahmed (51 runs off 34 balls) scoring superb half-centuries.
