Ajay Sharma too was handed a life ban after being found guilty of his associtaion with bookmakers. After closely dealing with the matter, BCCI lifted his ban in 2014.
In 2000, Azharuddin allegedly provided information to the bookies and further introduced Hansie Cronje to betting. However, his life ban was eventually oveeturned after the case was deemed unsustainable in November 2012.
