3. Dinesh Karthik

After proving his prowess with the bat in the T20I series against Australia and South Africa, Karthik made it to the 20-20 World Cup squad. With a strike rate of around 150 in T20Is this year, Karthik might retire from T20Is gracefully after playing the finisher role for team India.

2. Aaron Finch

The Australian skipper looked in decent touch in the T20I series against India and in warm-up games of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup. Although one could agree that his captaincy exit in the ODI format eased a bit of pressure off him, Finch might call it a time in the T20I format after the ongoing 20-20 World Cup.

1. Ravichandran Ashwin

The Indian off-spinner made it to the Indian squad for the 20-20 World Cup 2022 and the purpose was solely to contain the run flow. However, Ashwin’s forte is Test cricket as the spinner has more than 400 wickets in the format and he could well bid goodbye to the shortest format after the conclusion of the showpiece event in Australia.
