David Warner, the left-handed Australian opener, is known for his frequent engagement with fans on social media accounts. The Australian batter was adjourned the Player of the Series award for the series against South Africa that concluded on January 8, Sunday. On Friday, Netflix India’s official social media account demanded that Warner must act in Telugu movies instead of doing commentaries.

For the unversed, the southpaw said that he would partially do commentary during the next 12 months and then would consider his retirement. The quote was shared by a renowned blogger on Twitter and Netflix India replied to the same, demanding Warner’s appearance in Telugu movies, eventually getting a reply from the Australian star.

Here is David Warner’s reply to Netflix India:

Australia win series against South Africa as final Test ends in draw

The Baggy Greens won the Test series against the Proteas despite the final match ending in a draw on Sunday. It was Usman Khawaja who stood up for the team with his unbeaten 195, although the Australians fail to bowl South Africa’s batters out before they reached the deficit mark, resulting in a draw.

Warner was chosen as the standout player and the batter said that he would like to play in the finals of the Test championship, with fans claiming that it would most probably be against India given the Proteas failed to win a single game during the course of the series.

“(On his MCG double) I spoke about that in Melbourne. Salute to the team, everyone performed well and did their part. Credit to the bowlers as well. (On Anrich Nortje’s pace) Credit to Anrich, definitely the last time I have to face him, that’s great. It was tough down there but our boys gave me all the support,” Warner was quoted as saying after getting the Player of the Series award.

“We tried our best but the South Africans held on with their tail end, they have always been difficult to knock over and we didn’t get there but we’ll take the draw anyway. Massive away tour now with Test Championship on the line. If results go our way and we win a couple of games, that’ll put us in good stead to get to the final,” he added.
