The highest run-getter of the Indian T20 League 2020 so far, i.e. Jos Buttler, was seen bowling to the highest wicket-taker, Yuzvendra Chahal. Buttler has amassed 625 runs in 12 games averaging 56.81 and striking at 149.88 including three hundreds and as many fifties. On the other hand, Chahal has 23 scalps to his name in 12 games, averaging 15.73, striking at 12.5, and has an economy rate of 7.54. In a video uploaded by Rajasthan on Twitter, the duo had switched roles.

The leggie was padded up and was sharping up his batting, which happens to be a weak area in his game. On the other hand, the Englishman was bowling to his mate. The Jind-born player played some good shots as he tried to overpower his mate. The 2019-World Cup winner, on the other hand, did everything he could to keep the contest interesting. They engaged in a fun banter, and discussed about whether the India player had scored a boundary or not on a few occasions.

After this contest, both players had banter on the micro-blogging site as well. The 61- ODI player posted a comment on the video saying he hit six fours and a six against the Taunton-born player.

In reply, the right-hander tweeted ‘Are you joking?’

Talking about the team’s performance, the 2008-winners have won seven games so far in this edition, and are on the third spot on the points table. They had the opportunity to put one foot in the playoffs in their last game against Delhi. However, the team lost the match. Now they need to win at least one of their remaining two games for the playoffs spot. Their next games will be against Lucknow and Chennai, on May 15 and 20 respectively.

Buttler and Chahal have been instrumental to the team’s success in the ongoing season. Also, not to forget, the keeper-batter from England has the opportunity to equal Virat Kohli’s record of four hundreds in a season, made in 2016. On the other hand, Chahal is just three wickets away from breaking Imran Tahir’s record of 26, the highest by a leggie in the history of the tournament.
