Former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli has been rested for the ongoing ODI series against Zimbabwe. He also didn’t feature in the T20I series against West Indies in a bid to give him adequate rest ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup, scheduled to start on 27th August 2022.
Amidst that, Kohli has recently been spotted taking her wife Anushka Sharma out for a scooter ride. The duo took a ride on a two-wheeler on the streets of Mumbai on Saturday. A video has gone viral on social media, where the duo could be seen enjoying a lovely weather while riding on a scooter in Mumbai.
The fans loved to see their star cricketer Virat Kohli enjoying some quality time with his wife Anushka Sharma. It is worth mentioning that the veteran cricketer is part of India’s squad for the upcoming Asia Cup. Kohli has been enduring the worst phase in his cricket career. It’s been more than 1000 days since the Indian cricketer has scored a century in International cricket.
However, it has been learnt that the Chetan Sharma-led selection committee will continue to back Kohli as he remains a vital part of India’s team for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup. India are currently playing a 3-match ODI series against Zimbabwe.
India sealed the series 2-0 after beating Zimbabwe by 5 wickets in the second ODI by 5 wickets on Saturday. Skipper, KL Rahul, once again, won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Men in Blue bundled the hosts out for a paltry score of 161 in the first innings. Shardul Thakur was the pick of the bowlers for India, claiming 3 wickets for 38 runs in 7 overs.
In reply, KL Rahul and Boys chased down the score in 25.4 overs with 5 wickets in hand. The third and final ODI is slated to be played on Monday at Harare Sports Club in Harare.
