The Indian team is preparing in full swing for the 20-20 World Cup semi-final encounter against England. The players are hitting the nets and are preparing well at the Adelaide Oval. However, there is a cause for worry for the team as Virat Kohli was hit by Harshal Patel during a net session.
The star batter can be seen kneeling down in pain as Patel walks over to check on him in a video that has gone viral on the internet. Harshal Patel’s delivery hit Kohli in the groin, and he was down on his knees for a few moments before getting up and warming up with low jumps.
Journalists on the scene reported that Kohli was hit hard but appeared to be fine after a few minutes. Kohli appears to have recovered from his injury scare, and there is no reason to be concerned about the upcoming semifinal match.

On Tuesday, Indian captain Rohit Sharma was also injured in the nets. Rohit was taking throwdowns in the nets when one of them hit him on the forearm and he appeared to be in a lot of pain. Rohit left the nets after the physio arrived to check on him.
He was out of the nets for a while before returning and resuming his batting, much to the relief of Indian team management. While batting, Rohit did not appear to have any issues and played some powerful strokes.
India is looking to end its World Cup trophies drought as they prepare to take on England. The second semi-final match of the event is all set to take place on the 10th of November. The team led by Rohit Sharma will look to continue their dominance in the tournament.
In the meantime, Virat Kohli has been a treat to watch in the tournament. He was the leading run-scorer in the Super 12 stages and will look to repeat that in the knockout stages.
