New Zealand and Rajasthan left-arm pacer Trent Boult has won the hearts of several fans with his lovely gesture for a young fan. Boult gave away his practice jersey at the request of a young fan in the stadium. He was one of the few spectators left in the stadium as the Qualifier 2 game between Rajasthan and Bangalore had gotten over by then.

At the time of the incident, the left-arm pacer was possibly going towards the dressing room. In the meantime, the fan requested the Kiwi for his practice jersey. He agreed and tried to hand his the same directly to the fan. However, due to the height of the separator on the stairs, he couldn’t hand it over. The 32-year-old then asked another person to hand over the shirt.

In the video, it is clearly visible that the child was wearing an old Bangalore shirt. He then took it off and wore the one given by Boult. The video was uploaded by the Jaipur-based franchise on their official Twitter handle. The video was captioned ‘How can you not love Trent Boult? Watch him make a young fan’s day after #RRvRCB’.

Talking about Boult’s performance, he took the all-important wicket of Glenn Maxwell in the knockout game. His figures read 4-0-28-1 and his wicket changed the course of the game in his side’s favour. The three-time finalists were cruising at 111/2 in 13.5 overs. On the last ball of his spell, he bowled a short ball on the leg stump. Maxwell tried to play the short over the deep fine leg fielder.

However, the Aussie couldn’t get the desired elevation and was caught brilliantly by another left-arm pacer Obed McCoy. This led to a collapse as the Bangalore-based franchise went from 111/3 to 157/8 at the end of the innings. Chasing 159 to win, Jos Buttler’s unbeaten 106 helped the side win the game by seven wickets. With this win, the Pink Brigade qualified for the final for the first time since 2008.
