The latest promo for India’s upcoming tour to England has been released. The official broadcasters released the same on Sunday. The series will start with the Test match which was meant to be played in September last year. However, it was postponed after a few members of the Indian team tested positive for COVID19. It is to be noted that India currently leads the series by 2-1.

Meanwhile, in the video, veteran Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi asks a Washerman to keep cleaning a T-Shirt by smashing it. In the middle of this, the star opening batter of India women’s team Smriti Mandhana enters, and discusses the state of the Test series. The duo said that the Indian team are currently leading the series by 2-1.

Further, they said that if the visitors win the game, they will win the game by 3-1. They also discussed the fact that the team will play a limited-overs series. Thus, they felt that the Asian side will beat the hosts. Meanwhile, the 45-year-old kept asking the Washerman to keep smashing the clothes. At the end of the video, the T-shirt gets damaged due to constant smashing.

Talking about the series, the Test match will start on July 2 in Birmingham. A day after the game, both teams will be playing the first of the three-match T20I series in Southampton. On July 9, the team will return to Birmingham for the second game. The last game of the T20I series will be played on July 10 in Nottingham.

After which, the teams will be playing three ODIs as well. The first game will be played on July 12 at the Oval in London. The next game will be played two days later at the Home of Cricket, i.e the Lord’s Cricket Ground. The series will end on July 17 in Manchester. The ODIs will mark the start of preparations for the 50-over World Cup in India next year. Notably, India hasn’t played an ODI since February earlier this year, when they hosted the West Indies.
