WATCH : Suresh Raina praises MS Dhoni’s hospitality as one of his reasons for his side’s win in Legends League Cricket 2023
Suresh Raina has two wins out of two in the Legends League Cricket 2023.
The legendary cricketer MS Dhoni invited his old teammate Suresh Raina for a meal. Dhoni is now having fun in Ranchi with his family and friends. When he hoisted the title with CSK for a record-tying fifth time in the Indian Premier League in May 2023, that was the last time we saw him in action.
In the current Legends League T20 competition, Suresh Raina is the captain of the Urbanrisers Hyderabad side. At the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on Tuesday, his team defeated Southern Super Stars by a score of 13 runs.
On Wednesday night, Dhoni and his spouse Sakshi gave Suresh Raina a dinner party at their residence following the match. To provide followers with a sneak peek, Raina posted a few images on his official Instagram account. He wrote in the caption, “Thank you so much for the great dinner @sakshisingh_r & @mahi7781 bhai ??”
There is a bond between Raina and Dhoni that goes beyond the cricket pitch. Having played key roles in the Indian cricket team’s heyday, the two superstars have shared many memorable experiences.
Under Dhoni’s leadership, Raina was instrumental in India’s triumphs in the 2013 Champions Trophy and the 2011 ODI World Cup. It’s worth noting that the two said goodbye to international cricket on the exact same day, signalling the end of an era.

India Capital and Urbanrisers Hyderabad clashed in the final game of the Ranchi leg during their Legends League Cricket 2023 encounter. Suresh Raina is leading the side Urbanrisers Hyderabad currently and played a decent knock during their win over India Capitals.
Gurkeerat Singh Mann’s 89-run innings proved essential as his side finished on 189 after their 20 overs. Urbanrisers took four quick wickets to reduce the opposition to 43-4 within the powerplay itself. Kevin Pieterson took matters in his own hands and provided some fightback. However, his knock went in vain as the side fell short by 3 runs at the end.
