Former Indian captains Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly reportedly had a cold relationship since the former was ousted as India’s ODI captain. The last time DC met RCB in Bengaluru, Kohli took a catch and on his way back to his fielding position on the boundary rope, he gave Ganguly, who was sitting in the dugout, a death stare.

Now, Kohli will be back in action on Saturday evening as Royal Challengers Bangalore takes on Delhi Capitals in an Indian Premier League 2023 match at his home ground. Fans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium will be delighted to see local star Kohli take on Ishan Sharma and Anrich Nortje in the encounter against DC.

Meanwhile, former India pacer S Sreesanth has made a major declaration before of the much-anticipated showdown, sending fans into a frenzy. The former India bowler underlined three intriguing factors of the upcoming encounter on the Star Sports network. Given the results of the previous meetings between RCB and DC, Sreesanth believes it would be a thriller to witness.

“The golden match of the IPL. This is going to be very exciting, DC playing RCB,” Sreesanth said in a video posted by Star Sports Network on Twitter. “No. 1 point – Virat Kohli vs Warner. It’s going to be a thriller to watch because DC just won a game and RCB are on the verge of making it to the best in the league,’ he added.

“Point no. 2 for me will be Nortje. I’ll love to see him running in hard and making the RCB batters dance to his tunes,” he added.

Sreesanth’s final and most important point attracted the most attention on social media. He stated that he would want to see Kohli get a century at his home field as a tribute to Sourav Ganguly, the director of cricket operations at DC. “The third point is pretty interesting. I would love to see Virat scoring a hundred. It would be a great tribute to Dada. Virat, just go out there and express yourself and win this for RCB,” he concluded.
