WATCH: Shakib Al Hasan involved in another heated confrontation with umpires in Bangladesh Premier League

Shakib Al Hasan, a veteran Bangladesh all-rounder, is not afraid to raise on-field issues with match officials. Shakib confronted the umpire again during a Bangladesh Premier League match, just days after charging at him over a missed wide-ball call.
Shakib, who is leading the Fortune Barishal side in the T20 league, was seen shouting as his openers walked out to bat at the Shere Bangla National Stadium. Just moments later, Shakib decided to take up the matter with the umpires.
Shakib was reportedly enraged when Barishal opener Anamul Haque Bijoy was not allowed to take the strike. The veteran all-rounder approached the match umpire and engaged in an animated discussion. It was not the first time Shakib had clashed with the umpire; he had done so several times before.

Shakib has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with the way the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is run. He recently stated that if he was put in charge, it would not take him long to fix things. “If they made me the BPL CEO, it would take me one or two months to correct everything. You have seen the movie, Nayak, right? If you want to do something, you can do it in one day,” Shakib had said in a press conference.
As for the match, the Rangpur Riders managed to post a respectable total of 158-7 in 20 overs. Shoaib Malik went on to score a half-century, scoring an unbeaten 54 off 36 balls, while opener Rony Talukdar scored 40 off 28 balls. Shakib’s men were led by Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who took two wickets. Fortune Barishal smashed the total in 19.2 overs to win by 6 wickets at the Shere Bangla National Stadium.
