Brazil and Serbia faced off in an epic clash in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022 on Day 5 at Qatar and it was the former who came out on top on the back of a brace from Richarlison, albeit his second goal became the talk of the town.
To add more, while the first goal was a neat one, Richarlison doubled the lead when he came up with a bicycle kick and eventually stunning the spectators gathered in Lusai Stadium, in Lusail.

Brazil make it count in their campaign opener
As things stand, the Selecao Canarinha made it count in their campaign opener and would look to carry on with the momentum in the coming matches. Given that they have bagged the 3 points, it will be crucial for the team to make it through to the next round, given that they are the early favourites to lift the multinational tournament title.
Commenting on the loss, Serbia’s manager Dragan Stojkovic, said that it was the injury of the key players that led them into trouble. Further, the manager said that Brazil had excellent players in their tank that eventually helped them take advantage in the second half, although the coach admitted to being physically weak post the first half.
“I think we were on an equal level in the first 45 minutes. I didn’t see that they were much more dominant at that stage. But in the second half we were physically at a lower level and Brazil knew how to take advantage of this because they have excellent players and they punished us. Those injuries are too much for us. We’re not Brazil with 200 million people. We are a very small country,” Stojkovic was quoted as saying.
“That’s a fact. I’m very sorry because they got injured just before the World Cup so they are very unlucky. You’ll see a different team in the next match than the one tonight. Brazil is the top team. There is no doubt about it. Brazil one of the favourites to win,” he added.
