WATCH: Pakistan players load their luggage on truck as no one came to receive them on Airport in Australia
Pakistan’s struggles in Test matches on Australian soil persist, with their last victory dating back to 1995 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
The Pakistan cricket team has arrived in Australia for a three-match Test series. Ahead of the important series, Pakistan cricketers received a humiliating welcome in Canberra. After a long flight from Karachi to Canberra, the Pakistan cricket team was forced to load their luggage in a truck outside the airport.
In a viral video, the players, including skipper Shan Masood and other coaching staff, were seen loading their belongings into a truck. It’s also reported that not a single person from the Pakistan embassy or Australian board reached the airport to receive them. However, PCB has yet to speak up about the issue, as fans expect a clarification from the board.

Pakistan, under the leadership of Masood, is scheduled to play three test series in Australia. The series will be a key part of the World Test Championship in 2025. In their first match on tour, a four-day contest, Pakistan will lock horns with the Prime Minister’s XI at the Manuka Oval in Canberra from December 6 onwards. Then, the first Test of the three-match series will take place at the Perth Stadium between Australia and Pakistan from December 14–18.
Can Pakistan win its first Test match in Australia after 28 years?
Pakistan’s struggles in Test matches on Australian soil persist, with their last victory dating back to 1995 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The challenges for Pakistan arise from their battalion grappling with the pace and bounce of Australian pitches, while their bowlers have struggled to apply sufficient pressure.
This historical trend has resulted in a string of defeats, a pattern unlikely to shift despite significant changes in the team’s leadership. The newly appointed Test captain, Shan Masood, faces a daunting task in rallying the team to compete against a formidable Australian lineup, especially considering their recent triumph in the 2023 ODI World Cup. The odds are stacked against Pakistan as they seek to break the longstanding losing streak in Australian Test matches.
