South Africa’s latest premier T20 tournament ‘SA20′ is rising in popularity every day as fans are getting to see some exciting cricketing action. The T20 extravaganza continued on Saturday as Pretoria Capitals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape locked horns against each other. The match turned out to be a high-scoring affair as both teams had some explosive batters in their lineup. Apart from the monstrous shots, a stunning catch from Migael Pretorius became the highlight of the match.

The incident took place in the second innings during the 11th over bowled by Eathan Bosch. On the third ball, Bosch bowled a wide delivery which Aiden Markram fetched from way outside off stump and tried to smack over long off. However, he failed to time the ball well as it went high up in the air towards long on. Pretorius, who was stationed at long-on took a terrific juggling catch as the ball slipped out of his hands twice but he finally managed to grab it on the third attempt.

Coming back to the match, Sunrisers captain Aiden Markram won the toss and elected to bowl first. The decision proved to be right as Sisanda Magala got rid of dangerous Philip Salt in the second over of the innings. Rilee Rossouw also departed after scoring 20 off 15 balls in the fifth over with the score on 47/2. Will Jacks and Theunis de Bruyn added 111 runs for the third wicket and put the Capitals in a strong position.

Will Jacks scored a stunning 92 to set up a magnificent victory for Capitals

Jacks scored 92 off 46 balls with the help of 7 fours and 8 sixes while de Bruyn scored 42 off 23 smashing two fours and four sixes. Courtesy of their brilliant knocks, the Capitals posted a massive 216/6 in 20 overs. Magala and Ottniel Baartman picked up two wickets each for the Sunrisers.

In reply, Sunrisers got off to a miserable start as they lost two wickets in the second over Sarel Erwee and Jordan Cox falling prey to Wayne Parnell. Captain Markram tried to take the innings forward with his 29-ball 46 but got out to Eathan Bosch. Sunrisers kept losing wickets from there on and were 119/7 after 15.1 overs.

Marco Jansen and Brydon Carse tried their best but there was too much work left to be done. As a result, the Capitals won the match by 37 runs as Parnell and Adil Rashid picked up two wickets each. Will Jacks was awarded ‘Player of the match’ for his magnificent 92-run knock.
