The 14th match of the Big Bash League 2022 took place between Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Renegades in Hobart on Saturday. The Hurricanes denied the Renegades their fourth consecutive win as they beat them by 8 runs and, with that, also register their second win.
Hobart Hurricanes posted a paltry score of 122 runs in the first innings. Hobart Hurricanes had lost three wickets for 53 runs in 6.2 overs and needed a partnership to steady the ship. Shadab Khan, who was looking to upped the ante, pulled one to backward of square for a six but got holed out in the deep, thanks to a sensational catch from Jake Fraser.
He ran to his right, took the catch, and then threw it up before he stepped over. Then came back into the playing area with all the time in the world to grab it again. The commentators too were in complete shock as Frazer took a stunner. The video of the catch has been doing the rounds on social media.

Hobart Hurricanes never got going with the bat as they could only manage to score 122 runs in the first innings. Neesham, who opened the innings for the team, top-scored with the bat for his 28 off 19 balls, while skipper Nathan Ellis amassed 21 off 18.
As for the Renegades, the likes of David Moody and Akeal Hossein picked three wickets each. However, despite that, Renegades were bundled out for just 114 runs, courtesy of a sensational bowling performance from the Hobart Hurricanes.
Will Sutherland kept the hopes alive with a fine knock of 40 off just 29 balls but wickets kept falling at the other end, throughout the innings. It was a combined bowling effort from the Hurricanes.
Riley Meredith was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3 for 12 in 4 overs, while Dooley and Paris picked two wickets each.
