A widely shared video featuring MS Dhoni smoking a hookah during a social event has drawn interest from fans and sparked some discussion. Dhoni was seen on video smoking a hookah while celebrating the New Year in Dubai among celebrities like Rishabh Pant and Kriti Sanon.

The video surprised a lot of people since it showed him staying fit even after just playing in the IPL. Social media was ablaze with excitement when it was released. Despite the fact that the video became viral, no one was able to confirm its veracity or pinpoint its specific release date and hour. It appears to have been taken some time back at a private gathering.

Following the global success of the Dhoni hookah video, an old remark from George Bailey has come to light. The former captain of Australia made a joke about Dhoni’s liking to smoke a hookah. He also said how he might use it to start conversations with younger players.

George Bailey said, “He likes smoking a bit of the sheesha or the hookah. So, he quite often would set that up in his room, and it was very much open door policy. You would go in and quite often find a lot of younger players there. For India or lot of other cricket teams, it can be hierarchical, but he certainly broke that down.”

“It’s a great way to break down barriers” : George Bailey

MS Dhoni always used to have an open-door policy while staying with the team. Anyone could have come and spoken to him during anytime of the day. George Bailey spoke about the importance of such leaders and small things that they did which makes the team better.

The Australia national team selector said, “You just find yourself in his room late at night chatting inevitably about the game or about different facets of the game or about different people and with different people it’s a great way to break down barriers.”
