Once the goal went in Marc Guiu was seen celebrating on the ground and the youngster’s parents too were overcome with joy. That was the only goal of the game Barcelona held on to win the game 1-0.
Xavi speaking after the game was in praise of the 17-year-old. The former midfielder said “I don’t have a problem with looking at our talent at home. On the contrary, we only need to give them confidence. Just like it happened to me when I was 17 or 18 years old. When we see a young player is ready we send him out onto the field”
The FCB manager also said, “The whole club should celebrate today. All the people who have worked with him, it’s a sign of good work being done”. One just hopes Marc Guiu can be the next breakout star of the football world.
