Watch: Fan invades pitch to get his bare-back signed by Lionel Messi
A usual day for Lionel Messi at the office.
Lionel Messi attracts the limelight like very few people in the world can. The Argentinian footballer is considered among the very best the world of football has ever seen and for good reason too. Apart from being awarded the Ballon d’Or a record seven times, the diminutive footballer has innumerable records to his name.
Naturally, he is followed and loved by a vast number of sports fans. Some love him so much that they run to the pitch in order to touch him or have a glimpse of him from nearby. Despite beefed-up security for Messi-involving games, it is quite often that a fan or two is able to slide past and get to the PSG player.
Something like this happened in Argentina’s last match against Jamaica as well, and not just once or twice but three times!
A viral video that is spreading like wildfire on social media platforms shows a fan running towards the Argentina captain with his shirt off. Upon reaching, the fan startles Messi a little and hands him a marker while standing with his bare back towards the former Barcelona player.
Having been approached like this innumerable times, Messi understood what the marker was for and started to sign his name as the fan wished. However, while he was signing the fan’s back two security personnel came running and tackled the fan to the ground, tripping Messi a little, in the process.

The fan is then taken out of the ground and would probably be banned for further matches. Social media was buzzing after watching a fan do what many wish to do on regular basis.
As for the match, it was an easy win for the Argentina side who are on a 35-game unbeaten run since 2019. After coming on from the bench Lionel Messi scored twice after Julian Alvarez opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Messi and Argentina are currently readying themselves for the FIFA World Cup that starts on 20th November 2022 in Qatar.
