WATCH : Carlos Alcaraz impresses fans with his extraordinary juggling abilities at Shanghai Masters 2023
Carlos Alcaraz aims to finish season on the top of the world rankings
Alongside the 2023 Shanghai Masters, Carlos Alcaraz demonstrated his mastery of both juggling and tennis. Alcaraz took part during the China Open, the ATP 500 competition in Beijing, to kick off his Asian swing. Without losing a set, he defeated players like Yannick Hanfmann, Lorenzo Musetti, as well as Casper Ruud to go to the semifinals. He then faced Jannik Sinner, who won 7-6(4), 6-1, before defeating Daniil Medvedev during the championship match to claim the victory.
Alcaraz is currently competing at the Shanghai Masters, and he recently defeated Gregoire Barrere to set up a matchup with Dan Evan in the Round of 32. The Spaniard was seen juggling as he prepared for his battle to maintain his focus and reflexes.
Carlos Alcaraz showed fortitude to close out the season on a strong note in his Shanghai Masters debut. In the third round of the Masters tournament on October 9, Alcaraz faced up against Dan Evans. He recovered from being behind by a break in the first set to win the tiebreak and the match.
The World No. 2 upped the ante during the second set and won the match 7-6(1), 6-4 inside two hours and 25 minutes with just two unforced mistakes. He was particularly impressive when approaching the goal, collecting 67 per cent of those points.

Carlos Alcaraz aims to end the season on top!
Alcaraz now leads the tour with 63 victories this year. This season, he has increased his win-loss record against players below the top 20 to 41-1.
The Spaniard is aiming for both the top place in the ATP rankings and the Shanghai Masters championship this week. Following his victory at the US Open, Novak Djokovic replaced him as the current World No. 1.
The difference separating the two competitors is currently only 500 points, though. If Alcaraz makes it to the Shanghai final, he will thereby reclaim the top spot in the world rankings. The 20-year-old’s next encounter will involve 18th seed Grigor Dimitrov during the fourth round. Dimitrov defeated Karen Khachanov 7-6(6), 6-4 during his last match.
