Watch: Barbados Royals women’s team shake a leg to ‘Kala Chashma’ to celebrate their victory

Barbados Royals women’s team celebrated their entry into the finals in grand fashion.

Social media has become an integral part of all our lives. There’s hardly any moment in our life that we don’t share with our friends and family on the platform. Even cricketers have found social media to be a great platform to connect with their fans. Almost every cricket team has its presence on social media where they share many unseen moments from the dressing room with their fans.

Recently Barbados Royals women’s team from The 6ixty league shared a fun celebration video on their official Twitter handle. In the video which has garnered 11.1k views so far, the players can be seen dancing to the tunes of the Bollywood song ‘Kala Chashma.’ The players can be seen going absolutely berserk and dancing their hearts out after their victory over Guyana Amazon Warriors in the fifth match of the tournament.

Coming back to the match, the Warriors captain Stafanie Taylor won the toss and elected to bat first. Warriors batters put up a dismal show as they got bundled out for 58 in 9.5 overs. Taylor was the highest run-scorer of the innings, who scored 28 off 25 balls. In reply to the Warriors, the Royals came out to bat and chased down the total quite comfortably in 7.3 overs. Captain Hayley Matthews remained unbeaten on 25 off 18 balls and Chloe Tryon scored 27 not out off 21 balls.

The Barbados Royals will now face Trinbago Knight Riders in the final of the tournament on 29th August at Basseterre starting at 12:30 am (IST). The 6ixty is the new addition to the cricketing leagues by West Indies Cricket. The matches are played in 10 over format with some new and exciting rules to bring more crowd to the matches.

Recently, a similar video of the Indian team surfaced online after they celebrated their 3-0 ODI series victory over Zimbabwe. The Indian players were also seen dancing to the same song with the same steps. The video which was shared by opener Shikhar Dhawan on his Instagram account has garnered 49.5m views.
