England and Pakistan locked horns on Tuesday in the first T20I of the seven-match series at National Stadium, Karachi. The three lions emerged victorious in the game as they chased down a target of 160 with four balls to spare. Apart from the incredible cricketing action in the match, a bizarre moment from the game has also been doing rounds on social media.

During the game, the cameraman decided to show the joy on the faces of the Pakistani fans as England were touring the country after 17 long years. Seeing himself on the big screen, a person from the crowd began waving at the camera in delight. However, the person also immediately made an obscene gesture with his hands. The moment was caught on camera and has since gone viral on the internet.

Pakistan vs England, First T20I Match Report

Coming back to the match, Pakistan were put in to bat by the English captain Moeen Ali. The ‘Men in Green’ got off to a great start as Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan looked in full flow with the bat. The duo added 85 runs for the first wicket. After Babar’s dismissal, Rizwan continued his free-flowing innings and took the Pakistan innings forward. However, he didn’t get much support from the rest of the team as Babar Azam’s men finished with the score of 158/7 after the end of their innings.

England lost wicketkeeper Philip salt early in their chase but his opening partner Alex Hales enjoyed a terrific comeback to the England side. Hales scored 53 off 40 balls scoring seven boundaries in his innings. He was dismissed in the 17th over by Haris Rauf, leaving his side just 18 runs short of victory.

Apart from Hales, Harry Brook also stamped his authority in the match scoring a blistering 42 off 25 balls. His knock was also studded with seven fours as he remained unbeaten while taking his team home. England comfortably chased down the target with four balls to spare. Seamer Luke Wood was awarded ‘Player of the Match’ for his outstanding spell of 3/24 in four overs.
