The Indian Star batsman and Test specialist Ajinkya Rahane took to Instagram to share his visit to the place where the majority of his learning curve took place. Rahane visited the “SV Joshi High School” in Dombivali, walking back to his golden days in the institution.

Rahane was recently seen playing Ranji trophy for Mumbai in the first half of the tournament. After that, he has been spending time with his family. Thus, his wife Radhika and daughter Aarya were seen with him as he was walking down memory lane.

Notably, Rahane along with Pujara was dropped from the Indian Test squad ahead of the Sri Lankan series. Both the seniors were asked to perform in the domestic set-up and regain their form before they could be considered again in the mainframe of Indian cricket.

Rahane shared his visit to his old school with the message – “There’s something about visiting your roots that keeps you grounded. Was at Dombivli with my family and irrespective of how the place changes, it holds the same place in my heart!”

Rahane added – “I wanted to come here since many years and today it happened. I started cricket from this place, the school backed me. There are several changes now to the school but coming here felt special.”

Rahane has played 82 Tests, 90 ODIs and 20 T20Is for India. Besides, he has been part of the Indian T20 League, representing different teams over the years. Rahane was picked by Kolkata in the mega auction for his base price of 1Cr INR.
