Suryakumar Yadav is becoming a household name with his excellent performances these days.
Suryakumar Yadav is becoming a household name with his excellent performances these days. The star batter, with his unique style of playing the game, has impressed everyone. His form in the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 in Australia has also been very impressive.
Suryakumar’s ability to hit seemingly impossible shots has experts and fans comparing him to South African batting legend AB de Villiers. Surya, on the other hand, recently stated that there can only be one ‘Mr 360’. Now, Ab de Villiers has come up with a hilarious response to Suryakumar being dubbed the new ‘Mr 360’.
“He is the new 360 but I am still the original. Don’t take that nickname away from me. I am very happy for the guy. He has got lot of potential,” De Villiers said in a video that has done rounds on the internet.

When asked if it is appropriate to compare Suryakumar to him during a recent interview with news agency PTI, de Villiers, one of the game’s most versatile batters, said: “Yes they are. The only thing he will have to concentrate on is his consistency. He will have to do this for 5 to 10 years and then he will find himself in the golden books of cricket players.”
Suryakumar’s recent performances have propelled him to the top of the Men’s T20I rankings. Suryakumar has scored 1,026 runs at an average of 44.60 in 28 T20I innings this year. With the best score of 117, he has one century and nine half-centuries to his name.
These runs have been hit at a strike rate of 186.24. Suryakumar is only the second player in T20I history and the first Indian to score 1,000 runs in a calendar year. His performance will be closely watched when India takes on England in the semi-finals on Thursday.
In the mega event in Australia, Sky has scored 225 runs in five matches so far. He has an impressive average of 75 and an exceptional strike of 193. He would look to keep that intact in the knockout games as well.
