Watch: A fan of MS Dhoni pays tribute to the legend through his unique artwork

MS Dhoni is amongst the greatest players ever to play cricket for India. The ‘Captain Cool’ is the most successful Indian captain in limited-overs cricket. Dhoni etched his name forever in the history books when he led team India to a 50-over-world cup- win in 2011. His match-winning six in the final is regarded as the second most iconic moment in the history of Indian cricket. Having made the country proud on numerous occasions, Dhoni earned himself a fandom that most players dream about.

There are numerous fans who even worship the former Indian captain for his heroics on the field. Recently, another fan of MS Dhoni made headlines when he paid tribute to him through his unique artwork. An artist named Rahul Chopde made a ‘cube art’ of his favourite cricketer and shared it on his social media platforms.

The video of his marvelous creation has been going viral on the internet. The video has received 99k views since it was shared by a fan page of Dhoni on Twitter. The original video on Chopde’s Youtube channel has garnered 2.8 million views so far. Chope is known by the name ‘king of cubers’ on his social media profiles and has 103k followers on Instagram.

Even after his retirement from International cricket in August 2020, the fanbase of MS Dhoni hasn’t diminished at all. Dhoni is still seen playing for the Chennai franchise in the Indian T20 League. He has even led his franchise to four title victories, making him the second most successful captain in the history of the league.

Apart from the coveted ‘World Cup trophy’, Dhoni also has a 20-20 world cup and Champions Trophy in his enormous trophy cabinet. The 41-year-old is expected to announce his retirement from all forms of cricket after the next season of the Indian T20 League. Dhoni has often said that he will retire after playing his last game in his franchise home ground i.e M. Chidambaram stadium. The day Dhoni finally hangs his boots, he will leave behind many fans crying.
