Wasim Jaffer brutally trolls Michael Vaughan on Twitter after England’s loss against West Indies

Published on

England has completed its tour of the West Indies. After a five-match T20I series, the two teams battled it out in a three-match Test series. The first two tests of the series at Antigua and Barbados respectively ended in draws.

The action shifted to Grenada for the third match of the series. It was an intense battle between bat and ball, in which West Indies ultimately emerged as the winners. England batted first in the match and scored 204 runs in their first innings. West Indies in reply took a 93 runs lead, scoring 297 runs in their first innings. After this, in their second innings, England experienced a major collapse in the batting and got bundled for 120 runs. Kyle Mayers picked up a fifer in the innings. West Indies chased down their target of 28 runs very easily in the fourth innings of the match without losing any wicket. With this, West Indies also secured the series win.

Immediately after the match ended, former Indian batter, Wasim Jaffer took to Twitter trolling former English captain Michael Vaughan. Notably, Michael Vaughan is famous on Twitter for trolling other teams for their performances. When India got all out for 92 in the fourth ODI of their tour to New Zealand 92 (2019), Vaughan took to social media brutally trolling India. This planted the seeds for the online banter between Jaffer and Vaughan. From then, Jaffer doesn’t miss any chance of trolling Vaughan whenever England performs poorly.

The latest collapse of England in the Test against West Indies gave Jaffer another chance to bring out his humorous side and troll Vaughan. Jaffer got under the former English captain’s skin with his Tweet. Here is Jaffer’s Tweet.
