OTT platform, Voot has collaborated with renowned director Neeraj Pandey to come up with an exciting project, titled ‘Bandon Mein Tha Dum’. For the unversed, ‘Bandon Mein Tha Dum’ is a documentary made on the Indian Cricket Team’s historic win in Australia in the 2020-21 Border Gavaskar series. As per reports, the documentary is all set to release on 16th June 2020-21.

Director, Neeraj Pandey has previously won hearts for making a biopic on MS Dhoni. The fans have high hopes that the upcoming documentary will also be a blockbuster. The makers of the series have put their heart and soul into bringing out all the emotions that the players and fans went through during the Test series.

India were crushed by Australia in the first Test. They were bundled out for just 36 runs in their second innings and lost the Test by 8 wickets. However, Ajinkya Rahane and Co. fought back brilliantly and went on to win the series by a 2-1 margin, despite a lot of senior players getting injured.

“The human stories in this cricketing fairy tale elevated the series beyond a cricketing audience and created huge euphoria across all segments of the Indian society. The nation was gripped and it was therefore befitting for us to bring the story to the people of India of one of the greatest comebacks in the history of sports and cricket,” Pandey was quoted by Republic World.

“Nothing excited me more than retelling this story which went beyond high-quality cricket, hard work, perseverance, determination, commitment, sportsmanship, and decoding the x-factor through the mind of the players which repeated the David Vs Goliath story,” Pandey added.

India’s former vice-captain in Test Cricket, Ajinkya Rahane has shared the trailer of the documentary on his Instagram.

“Defeat, injuries and lots of noise all around. But this is the tale of a team that faced all odds together. Bandon Mein Tha Dum is that story! Excited for you to see the struggle behind our story.” He wrote as the caption.
