Virat Kohli’s super fan gets married after star cricketer’s return to form, pictures go viral
Virat Kohli, one of the greatest batters of all time, appears to have returned to form.
Virat Kohli, one of the greatest batters of all time, appears to have returned to form, slamming his third ODI ton in four matches as India cruised to a ‘record’ 317-run victory over Sri Lanka in Trivandrum. As fans celebrated Kohli’s unbeaten 166-run knock in the third ODI, an ardent fan announced on Twitter that he was getting married on the same day the former India captain scored his 74th international century for India.
The same fan was previously spotted with a banner saying he will not marry until Virat scores his 71st international century while attending one of India’s matches at the stadium. Kohli had famously gone nearly three years without scoring in the triple digits.
However, since ending his drought against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup last year, the 33-year-old has appeared to have regained his prime form. After Kohli’s 74th international century, the fan took to Twitter once more, writing: “I asked for the 71st century but he scored 74th on my special day”, with a picture of him dressed in a sherwani. The post has since gone viral, with over one million views.
