When it comes to cricket though, the 33-year-old is going through a rough patch of form. Having underperformed in the recently concluded Indian T20 League, the Bangalore player took a break from cricket. After missing the India- South Africa T20I series at home, the right-hand batter has finally joined the Indian team in England for a Test match. India is going to play against England in a solo Test match, that was rescheduled from India’s 2021 England tour.
Earlier, Kohli had contracted COVID-19 but has recovered after going through quarantine. In a piece of recent news, the current captain Rohit Sharma suffered the same fate and is under quarantine in the team hotel.
All cricket fans await Kohli’s 71st International century for a very long time. Notably, the once top batter has not made an International century, since November 2019. The ex-captain had to also forgo his captaincy due to a drop in form.
In the recently concluded Indian T20 League, the Bangalore batter scored 341 runs in 16 matches at an average of 22.73. His shocking strike rate of 115.98, however, has caused the most chatter about his form.
